Celtics Guard Suffers Setback In Game 1 Loss To Bucks

Marcus Smart Injures Calf, Will Miss 2-3 Weeks

Celtics Guard Suffers Setback in Game 1 Loss to Bucks

Smart Driving at Joel Embiid in Transition, Fouled by MVP Frontrunner

Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart has been diagnosed with a Grade I tear in his left calf and is expected to miss 2-3 weeks, according to an MRI. Smart suffered the injury in the Celtics' Game 1 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.

Smart was driving at Bucks center Joel Embiid in transition when he was fouled hard by the MVP frontrunner. Smart immediately grabbed his calf and limped off the court. He did not return to the game.

The Celtics were able to win Game 2 without Smart, but his absence will be a big blow to the team. Smart is one of the Celtics' best defenders and is also a key part of their offense.

The Celtics will be hoping to have Smart back for Game 3 of their series against the Bucks on Saturday. If Smart is unable to play, the Celtics will have to find a way to replace his production.
